Sometimes talking isn’t enough. Body-centred psychological counselling brings conversation and body awareness together – to help you understand connections, develop new perspectives and strengthen your own resources during challenging life situations.
This approach (IKP method) combines psychological counselling with body-oriented methods such as Gestalt Therapy. In addition to conversation, feelings, body awareness and ways of expressing oneself are incorporated into the process.
You share what’s on your mind: We begin with what’s currently challenging you – whether a difficult situation, a relationship, a life transition, or a feeling you can’t quite name.
We work with conversation and body awareness: In addition to talking, I may invite you to notice what’s happening in your body, express something through movement or drawing, or explore a feeling more fully.
You gain new perspectives and resources: The aim is not to give advice, but to help you understand your own patterns more clearly – and discover your own capacity for change.
Each session is 60 minutes. Sessions are offered at a reduced rate of CHF 100 during my training phase and are not eligible for reimbursement through Swiss supplementary health insurance.
The body-centred psychological counselling I offer is based on the approach of the IKP – Institut für Körperzentrierte Psychotherapie in Zurich, founded in 1983 by Dr. Yvonne Maurer. The IKP combines scientifically grounded psychology with body-oriented work rooted in Gestalt therapy. I am currently training there as a Dipl. Body-Centred Psychological Counsellor (2026–2029).
